Fatal Accident in Spanish Lookout

  


  On Friday evening there was a fatal accident on the Iguana Creek Road, near the Rig Parts business establishment. Based on witnesses a vehicle drove out on the main road onto the path of an oncoming motorcycle causing the collision. The motorbike driver was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The victim is a resident of DuckRun 1 village.

     Mennonite businessmen from Orange Walk were the victims of an armed assault in BlackMan Eddy Village, near Spanish Lookout by the Iguana Creek junction. According to a report the Mennonites stopped to refuel their vehicle during which time unkown men approached them and demanded money. One of the victims attempted to flee but was injured from shots fired at him by one of the robbers. He then complied and handed over a bag of money containing several thousand dollars. The robbers then escaped.

According to multiple sources, a couple from Agua Viva, a rural community a few miles away from Belmopan which is composed of ex-Mennonites, practicing Mennonites and various immigrants from Europe, were at the marketplace in Belmopan. Foster Child Dies in Spanish Lookout

  Ayana Bennett Moody      Update on Nov. 22    Foster parents Marvin and Lena Plett of Spanish Lookout were formally charged with manslaughter today in the death of 4-year old Ayana Moody which ocurred Friday morning, Nov. 17. They were then transported to the infamous Belize Central Prison, commonly known as "Hattieville" due its proximity to the village of that name, to await their court hearing which was set for February 15, 2024. _________________________________________________ Nov. 21   As per our article on  18.11.2023 , a couple from Spanish Lookout were arrested on Friday after the sudden and mysterious death of a 4 year old foster girl in their care during the wee hours of Friday morning.
