   Screenshot from a social media page   There was an accident today afternoon on Iguana Creek Road when a vehicle collided with a horse and buggy which was driven by a farmer from the Lower Barton Creek area, an ultra conservative Mennonite colony a few miles southeast of Spanish Lookout. The farmer was observed laying on the grass beside the road while the wooden buggy box was completely destroyed. The axles with the wheels attached were the only items left standing. The extent of the victim's injuries are not known.

   Rt. Hon. John Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize   It was no surprise. By 10pm yesterday the outcome was officially confirmed. The PUP (People's United Party) had won a second 5-year term, defeating the UDP (United Democratic Party) by claiming 26 out of the 31 seats.

      Early Wednesday morning just before 7, there was a collision on Center Ave involving an SUV and a motorcycle. According to eyewitnesses, the SUV slowed down as it made a left turn. The motorbike which was headed in the same direction was closely following the SUV and collided into the back of the vehicle, completely shattering the rear windshield. The motorbike driver received facial injuries and was transported to the hospital.

    Western Dairies headquarters in Spanish Lookout   A delivery truck belonging to Western Dairies in Spanish Lookout was held up today near Belize City by three male thieves who threatened the driver then stole an undisclosed amount of money from him. Police later arrested them but are still searching for the third. However there are speculations that it might have been an inside job after police searched a cellphone and discovered that the truck driver had been communicating with one of the robbers earlier.

     A shocking midday robbery on March 1st at Reimer's Feed Mill branch in San Ignacio left employees and customers traumatized. According to reports, two men wearing motorcycle helmets entered the building and forced customers to the ground. They then proceeded to the cashier and stole an undisclosed amount from the cash register as well as personal belongings pertaining to one of the customers.

      There was a tragic motorcycle accident in northern Belize on Saturday, in Shipyard, Orange Walk, a mostly Old Colony Mennonite community. A young woman, Chelena Friesen, was critically injured when her motorcycle hit a recently erected speed bump and caused her to lose control. She passed away last night.
